First, I just wanted to let my readers know that Doug and Vick (my parents) have a blog now!! I have them linked in my blog and you should definitely take a look!
Not much is going on here in Lubbock right now. We got back Monday to begin a two week class Tuesday and soon after my class ended Tuesday we got an email that my teacher (who is 8 1/2 months pregnant) was hospitalized for low fluid levels. They said she was fine and should be out by Friday so classes would resume Monday! So I have just been hanging out all week since we have had no class. WELL today we had to go up to school for some training and they announced that she had her baby and to just stay posted about class! I AM SO PUMPED! This may be one of the best weeks ever....things like this never happen at Tech. Plus the mom and baby are perfectly healthy so I don't feel guilty at all for being excited!!! I am sure we will just get a new teacher but I am really excited we just have one week of class now and not two!
I have turned a new leaf in my workout program...and by turned a new leaf I mean actually started doing something! I have been trying to run 2-3 miles 4-5 days a week and I have started some weight training stuff as well. Today as we were leaving class one of my closest friends looked at me and said...."Are you limping?" and I had to admit that my new workout has been kicking my butt and I could barely walk or sit down without feeling a large amount of pain! I am praying this all pays off in the end b/c it is not fun!!!
Lance & I are counting down the days until summer school is over and we can head to Houston for my internship.....Lance needs a summer job for the 9 weeks we will be there so if you know anyone who needs some short term summer help let us know! I miss Houston because so much family is there and every year more and more of my friends move there. A lot of my closest college friends live in Houston and some of Lances closest friends live there as well, so I am anticipating a really fun 9 weeks catching up with some of our best friends!!
That's really all that is going on right now. I am starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel with grad school and can't wait! I have a HUGE list of places I want to go after we are out and finally have jobs and am SO excited about the next phase of life where we will have the means to travel and do stuff!! I love where we are at right now but cannot wait for us to both have jobs and steady incomes!
Ok that's all for now.....this turned out to be way to long of a post!
