I am pretty sure she has been around forever....but I have never watched her show before really until this week. Since my summer school class got postponed until Monday, I have been watching a lot of food network! Anyway, my very favorite show is Sandra Lee's Semi Homemade meals! She is a genius, I mean why make something from scratch when you can purchase half of it and make it taste homemade. PLUS all her recipes are on a budget so her stuff is cheap too! I am loving her show & have watched it everyday this week.http://www.semihomemade.com/ I ordered her book today & am hoping it helps me with my cooking. I like cooking ok but hate spending more than like an hour in the kitchen cooking! I am hoping this book gives me some ideas....b/c I think I am getting to the point where we are eating the same 5 things over and over and over!

Love=getting a couch out of a trash compactor for your wife!
Here is the story. A couple of months ago one of the legs fell off our couch and we have been holding it up with text books. We didn't want to buy a new couch b/c we are planning on getting all new stuff when we move and giving our old stuff away. Anyway, some friends of ours moved and wanted to get rid of a couch so we decided to get rid of ghetto 3 leg early and take theirs. So went through the whole ordeal of finding a friend with a truck.....going to test out our slip cover on their couch so it would match, taking the old couch down ALL the stairs, hauling it to the trash compactor, hauling the new couch up, moving it into the living room, moving all the furniture around b/c it was too big ect. ANYWAY.....after about 3 hours I realized that the couch was waaaay to big for our living room. SO I sprinted down to the trash compactor to see if our couch was still there and Lance and I literally drug out our old couch (luckily it wasn't on too gross of stuff). The second we got out there were like 5 ppl walking their dogs and it 100% looked like Lance & I were going into the trash dump and stealing furniture! SO EMBARRASSING! Then we had to drag it 1/4 mile back to our apt. I think we looked pretty sad (well me) b/c this guy stopped and helped us! Anyway....I have Lysoled the couch and washed my slip cover...but as I am sitting here typing this I am still very aware that our couch was in that sick place!!!
Lance sarcastically smiling at me once we finally had the old couch back from the dumpster! I kept telling him that we are going to definitely look back and laugh!

Lately!
First, I just wanted to let my readers know that Doug and Vick (my parents) have a blog now!! I have them linked in my blog and you should definitely take a look!
Not much is going on here in Lubbock right now. We got back Monday to begin a two week class Tuesday and soon after my class ended Tuesday we got an email that my teacher (who is 8 1/2 months pregnant) was hospitalized for low fluid levels. They said she was fine and should be out by Friday so classes would resume Monday! So I have just been hanging out all week since we have had no class. WELL today we had to go up to school for some training and they announced that she had her baby and to just stay posted about class! I AM SO PUMPED! This may be one of the best weeks ever....things like this never happen at Tech. Plus the mom and baby are perfectly healthy so I don't feel guilty at all for being excited!!! I am sure we will just get a new teacher but I am really excited we just have one week of class now and not two!
I have turned a new leaf in my workout program...and by turned a new leaf I mean actually started doing something! I have been trying to run 2-3 miles 4-5 days a week and I have started some weight training stuff as well. Today as we were leaving class one of my closest friends looked at me and said...."Are you limping?" and I had to admit that my new workout has been kicking my butt and I could barely walk or sit down without feeling a large amount of pain! I am praying this all pays off in the end b/c it is not fun!!!
Lance & I are counting down the days until summer school is over and we can head to Houston for my internship.....Lance needs a summer job for the 9 weeks we will be there so if you know anyone who needs some short term summer help let us know! I miss Houston because so much family is there and every year more and more of my friends move there. A lot of my closest college friends live in Houston and some of Lances closest friends live there as well, so I am anticipating a really fun 9 weeks catching up with some of our best friends!!
That's really all that is going on right now. I am starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel with grad school and can't wait! I have a HUGE list of places I want to go after we are out and finally have jobs and am SO excited about the next phase of life where we will have the means to travel and do stuff!! I love where we are at right now but cannot wait for us to both have jobs and steady incomes!
Ok that's all for now.....this turned out to be way to long of a post!

So here are the Easter Cupcakes that Betho & I made forever ago for Easter. Remember that post I did a while ago? Well the cupcakes turned out HORRIBLE and all of their heads fell off.....but they tasted ok so I guess it wasn't complete waste! :)

I'm OBSESSED!!
Avery Nicole Bradford is the cutest little bundle you have ever seen! I LOVE her! I am sitting here right now at the Bradfords and Avery is a perfect baby! She sleeps & eats perfectly and hardly cries at all! I am pretty sure it is because her parents are awesome and such naturals! They are both the best parents in the world! I will post the rest of the Hawaii pics soon but I thought this was much more important! I have been like a crazy person obsessively taking pics of Avery so I am sure there will be much more to come! Enjoy!!
