Hello Blog world. I hope everyone could survive for a week without me blogging. I am sure you check everyday! :) Just Kidding. But the reason I was away was because I was on the best "Girls Week" with my mom and sister. We just got back today from a cruise to Progresso & Cozumel! It was SO much fun and SO relaxing. Not to mention that we ate constantly, literally I did not feel an ounce of hunger the entire week. It was so much fun to just hang out with my mom and Betho. We made lots of fun memories and had some definite quality bonding time! The ship we were on was full of, well lets say "interesting" people. It was definitely entertaining/creepy at some points. It is one thing to pass a slightly odd or drunk person on the street. However, when you are confined to a ship that is floating in the middle of the ocean it is a different story. All of the people were great, there were no problems at all. But I am not gonna lie, we were a tad bit shell shocked for the first few hours. On the days we were at sea we just laid out, ate, went to shows and wasted WAY to much money at the casino! I have now learned that I am in no way a gambler by nature. I honestly felt ill putting money into the slot machines and watching it go away into nothing. I was into it at first but as the week went on and money was dwindling I couldn't help but imagine all the things I could use that money for! Our days at the ports were really fun too! We went to Cozumel and saw (no exaggeration) a four foot long barracuda!!!! We names him "Barry" and had a code for alerting the rest when he came back into our presence. Fortunately, we all came out of Cozumel with all of our limbs intact. Overall, it was just a fun relaxing week and I am so glad we were able to do it. I have really been overcome with how blessed I am lately and am so thankful that we were able to go on this trip.
On a different note, Lance and I officially turned in our keys today. We will never again live in our tiny little apartment. It seems like yesterday that I was writing about moving in and now we are gone. We are living with my parents until August when we move to Lubbock for grad school. So today we turned in out keys, put the rest of the stuff in storage and even got a 3 month membership at a gym here in Sugar Land. It's weird how fast things change. Last week I was a teacher living in my apartment in Houston and now I am a student (soon to be) living in Sugar Land and about to be living in Lubbock.
Ok that's all for now. I still haven't taken of my swim suit cover up and we are about to go out to dinner. I don't want the same strange looks at Pappasitos that I got at the gym! Here are a few pics of the week. Our room steward folded ANYTHING that we left on the bed/floor into an animal. The picture of me holding the shirt is my shirt folded into a fortune cookie....I think! Enjoy and have a good week!
Just a quick blog shout out to my Hubby who is turning 24 in just a few hours. Lance & I were the same age for a few months but I am glad he is 10 months older than me for when we are turning 30,40,50 etc. I am already dreading the day I am not in my 20's so I am glad Lance will hit it first! I will not get too cheesy/sentimental but I couldn't love my wonderful husband more! I honestly cannot believe that I have such a perfect husband. I know that no one is perfect, but I really think Lance comes close! I am SOOOO blessed! Everyday is a wonderful day for me because Lance makes everyday different and special and I love him toooons! This picture is his school picture from when he taught at Graham last year. We lived in different towns so Lance sent me this picture and I framed it and put it on my bedside table. My roomates thought I was really lame and made fun of me all the time!
